CO2 cylinders are connected to the manifold via high-pressure, flexible pigtails with integrated check valves. The manifold serves as a gas collector, aggregating supply from multiple cylinders to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted flow of CO2.
The collected high-pressure CO2 gas is passed through a primary pressure reducing valve station (e.g., RV100 type), which lowers the pressure to a usable level. For high flow rates, an electric preheater is incorporated to prevent the system from freezing and ensure consistent vaporization.
After regulation, the CO2 is delivered to the final line at a precise, controlled pressure. The manifold system may also include primary and secondary safety relief valves and pressure gauges to monitor system integrity and ensure safe operation.
