Products (bottles, cartons, trays) are fed onto the conveyor belt. The infeed system ensures consistent spacing and alignment for accurate sealing and wrapping.
The shrink film is unwound from the roll and formed around the product. The web sealer uses heat to seal the film edges, creating a continuous tube. The sealing system (hot wire or constant heat) precisely cuts and seals the film to form individual packages.
The wrapped packages pass through the shrink tunnel. Hot air (heated by electric or gas elements) is circulated around the package, causing the film to shrink tightly and conform to the product shape. Temperature and conveyor speed are precisely controlled.
As the packages exit the shrink tunnel, a cooling section (often with ambient air) solidifies the film. The finished, tightly wrapped packages are discharged from the machine onto the next stage of the production line.
